Potential Patterns: Watercolour Woods, Leaf, and Flower Doodles
I’m exhausted … that’s beginning to sound like a very familiar refrain! It does sound better when I add that it’s from a hugely busy bout at work, which I do love. Things seem to be changing at a rapid pace around me, and am being picked up and tossed around by the whirlwind that insists that I emerge from hermit mode and rejoin the mainstream of life …
I don’t mind in the least. I welcome and embrace change, especially when it means that I’m learning new lessons in this magical life of ours. But what I do complain about is the lack of time in front of my sketchbook, paintbrush in hand, sloppily creating whatever comes to mind. My therapy!
Whenever I have a few moments and am not just collapsed on the sofa allowing my remaining brain cell to recover, I squeeze time to just doodle. So here are a few of the quick sketches that were produced in the last few days, with creating patterns in mind. Perhaps that will happen, and perhaps they’ll just remain in the sketchbook, but at least I had a good shot of therapy to keep me going.
I’m away for two whole weeks in a few days, and I’ll be taking the sketchbook with me in the hopes that I’ll be able to doodle a bit more, fingers crossed. Cheers.
