Watercolour: Sunny Flowers

Watercolour: Sunny Flowers

I haven't been able to keep up with the daily painting as life has been quite busy lately (my mother and her husband are on a lovely visit!), but I'm still enjoying splashing paint around whenever I can take a break to breathe ... this was one of the resulting pieces.

Everything gets posted whether I like it or not; it's an acknowledgement that life isn't always as perfect as I think it should be, or would like it to be -- but that's what makes it such a rich one. I'm learning that imperfections end up adding beauty and substance to everything that we do. This painting is unplanned and messy but there's a sunny joy to it that shines through.

Odd isn't it, how being loose is such a difficult thing for an (ex)perfectionist like myself to achieve! Which is why I'm on this determined path to learn to stop exerting expectations and instead just go with the flow and allow chaotic loveliness to emerge. So far it seems to be working ...
