Watercolour: Sketchbook Odd Botanicals

by Mariana

I managed to sprain both my wrists (and most of my right arm right till the sholder) trying to pull down a stubborn garage door, so I’ve been forced to take things slow and easy and work carefully, with lots of breaks, to rest everything.

This has actually turned out to be a bit of a blessing — silver llinings and rainbows — because I’ve had to pause and just contemplate a lot, away from the desk. It’s helped me to finally focus … so the restructuring of the business, and of our goals and aims, has sharpened considerably since. Also, the sense of just going with the flow and embracing the challenges that come my way, turning them into positive learning experriences.

I still paint daily as it’s wonderfully therapeutic, but pieces are taking a lot longer to finish, so here’s a glimpse of some past loose and messy fun work from my sketchbooks and art journals … I’m not sure of what they are so I’m calling them Odd Botanicals.
